Welcome to Rush
Musical Society!
We are a community-based society, based in Rush, a beautiful
seaside village 20 miles north of Dublin.
We were founded in 1988 for the purpose of providing a
platform to promote, develop and present musical talent in
and for the community of Rush and the surrounding areas.
In 20 years RMS has grown to become a thriving and dynamic
community based Musical Societies with over 70 active adult
members. Today we aim to continually strive to increase our
standards of production and performance in the presentation
of Musical Theatre.
Over the years RMS has achieved great recognition and
success in both the AIMS (Association of Irish Musical
Societies) National Awards scheme and at W.I.F.L.O.
(Waterford International Festival of Light Opera)
Throughout the history of RMS we have always tried to
embrace challenges and opportunities. Whether it’s been to
take on an unknown work, present a World Amateur Premiere,
compete at W.I.F.L.O. or tour a fully staged production to
Sweden, all ‘opportunities not to be missed!’
We actively encourage and welcome new members of all ages
who share our love of Musical Theatre. If you would like to
